Job Responsibilities:
- Add voucher numbers where payments were made and add payments (according to GL) where necessary.
- Assist with weekly reporting on commitments per entity.
- Assist certain division heads to compile confirm monthly reports.
- Keep retention register up to date and reconcile with general ledger monthly.
- File invoices of all expenses reported to DHET.
- Do all necessary correction journals identify with reconciliations.
- Keep venue bookings deposit- register, reconcile with general ledger.
- deducting breakages, do necessary journals for breakages (Bloemfontein and South campus).
- Monthly updating of templates required by DHT for yearly audit.
- Monthly reconciliation with general, summary of cost per entity and account number (specific attention to DHT funded entities).
Job Requirements:
- Knowledge of Peoplesoft.
- Proficient in using MS Office
- The ability to be cooperative with others, display a good-natured attitude, and encourage people to work together
- The ability to adhere to rules and strictly follow work regulations.
- The ability to be creative and open-minded when addressing work issues.
- The ability to be reliable, responsible, dependable and to fulfil obligations.
Qualification & Experience:
- Relevant work experience related to the duties and responsibilities.
- Bachelor’s degree or a Advanced Diploma/B.Tech degree/Postgraduate Certificate on NQF level 7 in Accounting.
- Intermediate knowledge of Excel.
