Job Description:

To act as an independent control to ensure the integrity, completeness and accuracy of TPS Cash Management product (non-interest revenue) relate financial statements through preparation and independent verification of daily and monthly P&L, balance sheet reconciliation and substantiation.

Job Responsibilities:

• As the Non-Interest Revenue (NIR) expert, partner with the TPS Cash Business and ensure the team receives relevant, timely, accurate and value adding product information and analysis to inform product budgeting, forecasting and decision making.
• Contribute towards and attend to all ad hoc project work associated with the product control function, and other risk / valuation work requested by the business.
• Reconcile accounts related to fee income / expense (accruals and deferrals) and suspense accounts to source documentation and / or source systems, highlighting unreconciled items for escalation for further clarity and resolution prior to the following month end reporting period.
• Process all revenue related ledger entries and complete account reconciliations for all general ledger accounts in a timely and accurate manner.
• Identify anomalies and analyse, investigate and intuitively assess these to ensure reasonability and avoid erosion of income.
• Engage the business on an ongoing basis in order to provide sound and agile commentary that supports the needs and nature of the NIR business
• Prepare and deliver timely and accurate P&L reports / forecasts (daily, weekly and monthly), NIR client analysis and supporting commentary to business, IFC, Group and other stakeholders where relevant.
• Lead the face off to the business on all P&L related matters. Assess the daily Trades P&L account for breaks (abnormalities), using forecasting to identify any gaps and anomalies; analyse the figures on the P&L for risk and market trends as well as product performance
• Monitor mappings issues, inter-divisional and intercompany breaks with the aim of resolving these when they occur to ensure 100% matching across the Group

Job Requirements:

• Honors degree in Accounting PLUS CA (BCA completed).
• 5-7 years relevant working experience in a product control in a financial services institution or bank. Experience in the application of accounting policy (including reconciliations, interest and expenses).
