Job Responsibilities:
- Perform daily safety and maintenance checks.
- Ensure quality loading and offloading of all material
- Stacking and packing of material
- Ensuring material in transit security
- Ensure forklift and equipment are safely and securely stored
- Report to supervisor of any requirements for maintenance or repairs.
- Operate forklift according to load specifications
- Operate forklift according to competency regulations
- Perform physical stock counts
- Operate forklift in a safe and effective manner in order to minimize the risk of injury, property damage or loss of life
Clean forklift as required
Job Requirements:
- Be in possession of a valid driver’s license
- Be in possession of a valid Forklift driver’s license
- Demonstrate integrity and above-average interpersonal abilities
- Exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Have a minimum of 1 year’s appropriate experience in a materials handling environment
- Be in possession of Microsoft Office will be (Advantageous)
- Be prepared to work extended hours on an ad hoc basis
- Be declared medically fit to function in the position and environment, as determined by a risk based medical examination at a relevant Sibanye Stillwater Occupational Health Centre
- Have NQF 4 (National Senior Certificate or Grade 12 or National Senior Certificate for Adults)
- Have at least 1 years’ experience as a forklift driver within a warehouse environment.
- Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk based medical examination at the relevant Sibanye Stillwater Occupational Health Centre.
