Job Description:
To support clients and their families across Nedbank to achieve their philanthropic aspirations, by providing appropriate philanthropic advice (initial and ongoing) and services, by following a client segment-led approach, spanning: strategic philanthropic advice; structuring advice; wealth management/investment planning advice; selection of suitable grant making providers; trustee and trust administration services; financial accounting and tax services. We are looking for phenomenal individuals (teammates) who are familiar with the charitable landscape and environment in South Africa.

- Generation of business stats for monthly reporting of revenue generated by clients utilising our philanthropy services
- Participate in client meetings in support of existing wealth advisors and work closely with segment heads to tap into the broader
- Nedbank client base to deepen client relationships via our philanthropy offering
- Work with internal partners and third-party service providers as needed
- Contribute towards the development of marketing material eg client communications, brochures, thought leadership articles etc to raise the profile of our philanthropy offering.
- Systematic development of business pipeline together with the appointed wealth advisor.
- Establishment and maintenance of a thorough knowledge base and sharing of thought leadership research/access to academics, etc. with a broader team.
- Arrange philanthropy-related events together with our marketing team for clients and prospects
- Establish and develop personal networks in the philanthropy sector
- Support clients in determining appropriate philanthropic structures and work closely with fiduciary specialists who provide structuring advice to clients and assist with as an example the drafting of charitable trust deeds, as part of overall estate planning and wealth structuring advice which forms the cornerstone of holistic wealth advice and financial planning advice.
- Deliver high-quality advisory and project management services to clients, such as developing philanthropic strategies and programs, and supporting the implementation of philanthropic objectives
- Oversee account opening and operations of client foundations
Job Requirements:

- Good understanding of compliance issues
- Good time management skills
Qualification & Experience:
- 3 years working experience in the wealth management industry with specific experience working in the UHNW segment and advising UHNW families on how to manage or structure their philanthropic endeavours. Additionally, a track record in philanthropy or grant-making, with broad knowledge of philanthropic trends, philanthropic structures/vehicles, regulatory requirements and impact measurement frameworks will be an advantage.
- Postgraduate Diploma in Management in the field of Philanthropy or studying towards,
- Minimum Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning
- FPI (Financial Planning Institute) membership
- Degree – preferably a BCom
