Job Description:

Work closely with technical teams, including system engineers, database administrators, network staff and particularly application support and software development engineers to provide support for the banks applications; this will include installation, release and configuration management, performance monitoring and tuning and quality management.

The role places a high emphasis on automation and scripting, particularly the practice of developing “infrastructure as code”, that is, treating the infrastructure stack as software, and using software development methodologies such as scripting in a first-class language, source and revision control, image and artefact management, continuous integration and delivery, as well as modern delivery and deployment platforms including cloud, container, on-premises and physical systems.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to perform as part of a team both in a Business and IT environment.
• A self-starter who takes proactive ownership of tasks from initial analysis through to successful completion.
• Ability to manage and report on own workload, prioritised to the business requirements.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Azure and its services.
• System administration experience with Production environments.
• Scripting ability across various languages; Bash, Python, Ruby, PowerShell, Golang

Qualification & Experience:

• Application support experience and the ability to troubleshoot through the technology stack (Network, OS, Database, Application)
• Experience of supporting application delivery pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins) and associated tools.
• Experience of using and managing Git source control systems.
• Experience of working directly with Development or Product teams.
• Experience working with Kubernetes and containers.
• AWS Certified (bonus), Puppet certified
• Azure Certified (essential),
