- To Provide risk based operational input to operation to ensure management of material risks, audit results and learning from incidents at real working conditions.
- To Support required integration of operational risk management into the leading operational practices and programs such as
- Operating model, incident investigation and assurance practices.
- To Implement and execute operationally against the integrated risk management framework operational risk management processes, systems, standards and procedures.
- To implement and coordinate the implementation of ORM to all aspects of the operational risk profile.
- To report, monitor and track operational risk performance to role holders and operational management leaders.
- To Advise the operation on required skills development to enhance the skills and competencies of employees and contractors to achieve excellence in operational risk management.
Job Requirements:
- Demonstrated understanding of risk management within a technical environment
- Collaborative, excellent communication skills, proactive teamwork, orderly work assertive negotiation, conflict solving, influence and persuasion in decision-making
- Good analytical skills and attention to detail
- Track record of interfacing with and influencing colleagues and coordinating disciplines relevant to risk management.
- Strong facilitation skills
- An understanding of the operational aspects associated with mining and mineral processing operations
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Translate recommendation into tangible operational outcomes
Qualification & Experience:
- Knowledge and experience with risk assessment techniques such as JRA, WRAC, Bow-tie Analysis, HAZOP/HAZAN and other industry recognised techniques and tools.
- Minimum of 5 years relevant operational mining, processing, and engineering related experience
- Essential requirement educated to a minimum of a national diploma level in a relevant discipline or equivalent (such as science, engineering or other related careers)
- Preferable requirement: Courses in management systems (9001, 14001,18001) risk qualification and audit qualification
