Job Description: To provide a specialiased financial auditing professional consulting service by providing a reliable, value added and independent technical auditing assurance function for eThekwini Municipality over the effectiveness of controls mitigating current and evolving high risks and in so doing ehance the controls of the organisation with specific reference to Treasury and financial operations. [the_ad id="21943"] Job Responsibilities: Provides specialist financial auditing contribution to the administrative and reporting requirements associated with the key performance and result indicators of the financial auditing remit. Contributes to knowledge management and document control systems (continuity and business recovery process) of the financial remit of Internal Audit. Implements audit programmes and projects, focussing on financial / technical / Treasury activities. Provide specialist financial auditing input for positive contribution to clean audit mandate and compliance with the standards. Contributes specialist financial auditing requirements in implementing financial auditing projects aligned with the combined assurance audit programme. Disseminates functional and operational information on the immediate, short and long term objectives and current applications and constraints. Job Requirements: CIA / CA would be an advantage. 8 Years relevant experience. Relevant post graduate qualification. CTA or Honours in Accounting. Valid motor vehicle drivers license (Code B). 6 Years relevant experience. Relevant B. Degree in Financial / Accounting / Auditing , plus three (3) years articles. IIASA-IAT and GIA will service as an alternative to the three (3) years articles.
