Job Description:

A position has become available within the Benefits Team for a motivated and efficient individual. The role is responsible for providing retirement and risk benefits administrative support with its main purpose to effectively manage and finalise all Member and Non Member Funeral and Death claims in ROA and RSA. The function requires a key focus on death-related processes and customer centric approach with the aim to provide an effective and efficient resolution.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure detailed, accurate and timeous claims report is provided together with a distribution recommendation in order to present to the Committee for resolution. Ensure all the relevant documentation and processes are administered post the resolution to enable claims submission to the Fund administrator
  • Ensure timeous correspondence with the relevant beneficiaries and dependents within SLA
  • The thorough investigation and critical review of information provided to support the claim in terms of Section 37 C
  • Maintaining an audit trail of all interactions with beneficiaries and dependents using the relevant system and processes
  • Ensure the relevant process reports are completed and current in line with the relevant departmental SLA

Job Requirements:

  • Good working knowledge of MS office (Outlook, Word and Excel (essential)
  • Strong numerical and analytical ability
  • Excellent administrative skills and exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
  • High adaptability, flexibility, resilience and agility
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills

Qualification & Experience:

  • 2-3 years as a 37 c investigator experience
  • 3-5 years Administration experience
  • Matric
