Job Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include supporting conclusions related to accounting for acquisitions and disposals of investments, employee benefits and share-based payment schemes, financial instruments, revenue recognition and other complex accounting transactions. Also responsible for reviewing the Financial Statements in general, with emphasis on the Cashflow Statement, Employee Benefit computations, IFRS 15, 9 and 16 Accounting entries, among others.

- 7 years relevant experience, of which at least 5 years should preferably be post articles.
- Registration with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA)
- This role is designed for a Chartered Accountant with 5 to 7 years post article experience who enjoys researching and analysing the financial reporting and technical aspects of accounting.
- Experience with accounting in accordance with IFRS.
- Experience researching and documenting accounting treatment for various transactions, including complex accounting concepts.
- Ability to deal tactfully and confidently with internal and external customers.
- Ability to successfully manage multiple projects with competing priorities and tight deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills /ability to continually prioritize workload and respond to top priorities with a sense of urgency.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- SAP/ Hyperion experience a plus.
