Job Description:
The Employee Services Lead is responsible for ensuring that all human capital/human resource administration and reporting complies with the network’s objectives and meets the standards of Company policy and South African legislation.
Job Responsibilities:
- Participate in HC initiatives and projects
- Ensure on-time reporting on various HC Metrics including but not limited to; attendance, equity, resignations, occupational levels, information for SA SAMS as required from time to time
- Maintain and update employee records on the internal database and files as per requirements of the company and Department of Employment and Labour
- Update organisational chart and reporting lines on the HRI
- Compile and upload contracts of employment on HRIS as per company policy
- Follow up to ensure onboarding documents have been uploaded
- Provide input and assist payroll by providing relevant and up-to-date employee information (e.g. leave, time off, work schedules, etc.)
- Respond to queries and provide input/source data for audits, EE Plans and reports, SETA submissions and BEE
- Process police clearance as required from time to time
- Ensure all employees submit beneficiary forms on Companies Group life schemes; process and handle all claims and queries
- Prepare and follow up on documentation on the HRIS as per company policy
- Answer and respond to employee queries about HC-related issues
- Administrate and process relevant employee documentation e.g. acceptance of resignation, confirmation of employment, Certificates of Service,
- UI19 forms for maternity and other claims
- Provide input to HC functions on staff movements and updates
- Custodian of employee data on HRIS
Job Requirements:
- Ability to work effectively independently and as a team member – Comfortable working in an agile environment with flexible roles and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Enthusiastic and participative, team player with a strong drive to create a work environment where employees thrive and actively develop relationships with employees to build company culture and alignment to vision and mission
- Experience with HC software and systems
- Ability to organise – Demonstrate excellent organisational skills in keeping abreast, coordinating and managing multiple tasks and prioritise effectively. Manage complex information systems, handle large complex data and multiple critical deadlines with resourceful confidence and detail orientation.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality – Respect the privacy of others and maintain the confidentiality of information to which it is exposed.
- Consistently use good business judgment, guided by the Code of Conduct and Ethics Policy.
- 2 – 3 years’ experience in HR administrative environment
- Ability to collaborate – Proactively work in partnership with others to achieve a common goal or necessary objective; build rapport and cooperative relationships with others; establish and maintain strong relations with employees. Informs and supports leaders on human capital matters
- Ability to communicate effectively – Effectively convey reliable and accurate information so that the recipients clearly understand its purpose and intent, using different mediums of communication.
- Ability to demonstrate resilience and withstand pressure.
- Completed relevant diploma or degree in HC related field
