Job Responsibilities:

• Adhere to the Mine’s Health and Safety codes of practice, Mineral Act and regulation requirement
• Develop and install a proactive approach to all safety issues in the work place
• Comply with the Mine’s Traffic management plan
• Communicate daily mining schedules and planning with the crew
• Controlling and directing all activities of subordinates within your areas of responsibility and as such takes on the role as coach, mentor and instructor
• Adhere to the Mine’s Health And Safety Codes Of Practice , Mineral Act and Regulation requirements
• Manage the Health and Safety of employees, material and discipline
• Focus on safe quality of work, achieving of production targets, and housekeeping, supervise and coordinate support functions

Job Requirements:

• Be self-motivated
• Have strong interpersonal skills
• Appropriate computer skills: Excel and Word and MS projects will be advantages
• Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk based medical examination at the relevant Sibanye Stillwater Occupational Health Centre.
• Driver’s License code 8 and own transport
• Appropriate computer skills: Excel and Word and MS projects will be advantages

Qualification & Experience:

• At least 3 years TMM miner experience in a mechanized underground mine
• Have a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in Mining
• Have a valid Supervisors Certificate
• Hold a valid Grade 12, N2 Certificate or equivalent
• Be in possession of a valid Blasting Certificate
