Job Description:
Ensure the integrity of project accounting and financial reporting for capital projects. Ensuring the correct accounting treatment of project with the corresponding risk management and status confirmation. Attending of governance forums / supporting functions by providing support with the correct nature of cost classification.

- Adherence to corporate governance and group asset policies and procedures
- Half year end and year end deliverables
- Assistance with ad hoc requests and resolution of queries
- Monthly reporting – Prepare relevant and timeous financial management information provided to enable business decision making (reporting)
- Project financial risk management and status follow up
- Accruals, pre-payments and provisions
- Exercise relevant SOX controls in area of responsibility
- Automation of processes / Streamlining of processes
- Capital application reviews and project cost evaluation
- Interest capitalisation – qualifying projects
- Timely and accurate capitalisations of completed projects
- Assisting with compilation of financial budgets / forecasts including cash flow, capitalisation, depreciation and wear & tear budgets
- Manages and review monthly transactional actions/activities
Qualification & Experience:
- University Bachelor’s Degree (B Com Accounting) with articles (good knowledge of IFRS) and minimum 5 years relevant work experience (Must)
- Honors with articles and minimum 5 years relevant work experience
- CA (SA) with minimum 3 years relevant work experience
