Job Description: The Principal Specialist Process Engineer is responsible for the delivery of a portfolio of studies or projects during front end loading (pre-gate 1 to gates 3) and full project life cycle support for ecoFT projects for either Fischer-Tropsch licensing or ecoFT equity participation projects. This includes engagement with stakeholders such as licensing, Research and Technology, equity partners, and assurance review teams to align study outcomes, gate decision and deliverable quality requirements. The Principal Specialist Process Engineer will work closely with the ecoFT Technical Delivery manager, Licensing Engineer and/or Senior Project Manager. [the_ad id="21943"] Job Responsibilities: Manage the portfolio delivery risks. Engineering due diligence of potential equity partner project execution capabilities. Lead a team of process engineers to deliver on the portfolio of studies and projects. Line supervision of assigned engineers including development and mentoring of direct reports. Drive the development and implementation of systems and tools to continuously improve the execution of Sasol internal engineering activities. Lead study benchmarking for cost and schedule performance for phase estimates. Support and liaison with internal business partners, equity partners, licensees, other licensors, as well as engineering and construction contractors. Provide the engineering interface to ecoFT equity partners or licensees. Custodian and driver of continuous improvement of the Sasol engineering know-how for executing ecoFT projects. Leveraging lessons learnt and international best practices to provide input and optimization of engineering and study execution plans and methodologies. Project development agreement or engineering services agreement input. Job Requirements: Petrochemical capital projects with awareness of Engineering and Project Management across full project life cycle and particularly in front end loading. Knowledge and application of integrated simulations for the Fischer Tropsch Gas Loop. External partner relationship building and management. Deep understanding of the Sasol’s Fischer Tropsch Technology. Good understanding of the power to liquids and similar value chain flowsheets. Qualification & Experience: University Bachelor's Degree Engineering (Chemical Engineering).
