Job Description:

The successful incumbent will act as technical point of contact for business projects relating to Cloud solutions. The incumbent will also ensure alignment with Sanlam’s Information and Technology strategy through adherence to group wide architecture principles and objectives as well as ensure alignment with Sanlam’s Information and Technology Security Standards through adherence to group wide architecture/security principles and objectives.

Job Responsibilities:

• Define and document Hybrid-Cloud architecture and integration patterns.
• Optimise Cloud infrastructure, Processes, and Costing.
• Perform Cloud infrastructure solutions’ risk assessment and mitigation planning.
• Develop and/or input to business cases relating to Cloud or Hybrid-Cloud solutions.
• Develop and Maintain Cloud decision tree for Cloud readiness evaluations.
• Develop and Maintain Cloud Architecture standards.
• Unlock Cloud infrastructure cost containment.
• Conduct research and positioning of new Cloud technologies, industry trends and industry focus areas.
• Advise on and assist with Cloud continuity planning and DR architecture, capacity, availability and performance planning and service level management.
• Present new Cloud technologies for use cases in solution architecture approval forum.

Job Requirements:

• Development methodologies
• Architecture models
• New technologies based on business requirements
• IT infrastructure architecture

Qualification & Experience:

• 10 years relevant experience in on-prem Infrastructure and Security Architecture
• Understanding of Security concepts, Networking, Compute, Storage, Application Architecture and Data Flow of application traffic
• 5 – 10 years experience in Cloud Architecture
• Relevant IT Diploma, Degree or an equivalent thereof.
• Multi-Cloud CSP’s like AWS, Azure, GCP and Private Cloud
