- Supervising postgraduate research commensurate with the post level;
- Supervising practical work in the MA (Clinical Psychology) programme;
- Participating in the Department’s strategic initiatives relating to teaching, research and community engagement.
- Performing various academic and administrative duties as determined by the Head of Department;
- Teaching, curriculum development and co-ordinating programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels;
- Conducting research commensurate with the level of appointment and actively contributing to the Department’s research profile;
Job Requirements:
- Research foci alignment with departmental thematic areas.
- Evidence of research productivity (e.g. publications in peer-reviewed journals or significant progress with PhD studies).
- Ability to train and supervise student psychologists in psychological assessment and psychometrics.
- Ability to lecture in the field of adult and geriatric psychopathology.
- PhD in the relevant field
- Ability to lecture in at least two, but preferably more, of the following areas: introductory psychology, cognitive psychology and psychological assessment.
- A Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology;
- Registration with the HPCSA as a Clinical Psychologist for at least three years;
