Job Description:
- “Hands-on” approach to problem solving on all Can Finishing production equipment.
- Must be willing to assist with ad hoc projects and normal production support on an irregular basis.
- Keeping up to date with the latest technological developments in the various Can Finishing equipment and techniques.
- Supporting the Technical Department in ensuring that Can Finishing equipment is up to date with Maintenance.
- Contributing to continuous improvement to size conversions.
- Participating in size conversions
- Identifying, initiating and driving Continuous Improvement projects on Production Equipment.
- Providing coaching support for trainee canmakers.
- Arranging, coordinating and monitoring Training for Can Finishing Trainee Canmakers.
- Working with Production in ensuring consistent achievement of Production Targets.

Job Requirements:
- Excellent Troubleshooting and fault finding abilities.
- Must have the aptitude for Coaching. Prior experience in Coaching will be an advantage.
- N6 Fitter and Turner, Fitter or Toolmaker/ National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Highly motivated self starter with a high level of commitment
- Excellent communication skills, calm and well organised individual.
- Have a minimum 5 years’ experience as a Supervisor
- Qualified Can Finishing Canmaker would be a distinct advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal, Leadership, Managerial and Training Skills.
- A detailed and in depth understanding of all manufacturing Quality parameters and processes.
- Proven reliable work record
- Ability to function well under pressure and exercise own initiative.
- Must be highly computer literate in general Microsoft Office packages.
- Managerial or Supervisory qualifications will be a distinct advantage.
- Strong Team work orientation.
- Demonstrable problem solving capability.
- Quality and Safety orientated.
- Leadership skills
