Job Description:
To plan and facilitate identified training and development interventions to ensure competency of all nursing staff.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure the correct application of nursing procedures and policies
- Promote a culture of continuous professional development
- Identify training needs to guide the development of appropriate clinical training interventions
- Develop the competence of all nursing staff
Job Requirements:
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
- 1-2 years’ experience as a peer mentor; 1-2 years’ experience as a Workplace assessor.
- Infection prevention and control (IPC) principles and protocols
- Clinical risk management
- Assessment skills
- Nursing Education Diploma; Unit specific certificate or diploma where appropriate (e.g. Emergency Centre / Operating Theatre / Critical Care Unit)
- Degree/Diploma in General Nursing
- 2 years’ Clinical experience as a professional nurse
- Nursing processes and procedures
