Senior Procurement Manager – Parow Our client based in Cape Town is regarded as one of the biggest suppliers of products, components, parts, and equipment to the South African automotive market. They are currently in the market for an experienced Senior Procurement Manager to join their team. Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinates with fellow branch managers to monitor inventory and determine supply needs
- Monitor and identify dynamics of market trends, competitor strategies and market suppliers
- Negotiating prices, discounts, rebates, quality, delivery objectives as well as continuity of supply with suppliers
- Find alternative suppliers for products
- Ensure compliance to company procurement policies and procedures.
- Managing a team of procurement officers, in this case both at the DC and at the various branches
- Negotiate and review contracts and SLA’s to improve terms of business with suppliers / couriers and review opportunities to make business savings
Job Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary education in supply chain management or similar
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications as well as CRM software.
- Fully vaccinated
- Driver’s license and own transport
Qualification & Experience:
- 5 years’ experience in the automotive industry
- Grade 12
- 5 years’ procurement experience
