Job Description:

The services of the unit include facilitating the integration of migrants into communities, assisting and managing people living and working on the street, and rendering a service to children in a holistic manner.

- Plan, direct, facilitate and manage the development and establishment of business plans, strategies, policies, projects and programmes;
- Direct, plan and develop objectives to coordinate the development of research strategies
- Direct, define and develop objectives and plans to coordinate the development and implementation of partnerships;
- Direct, define and develop the immediate, short- and long-term objectives/plans and facilitate management and coordination processes within the Social Cohesion Unit;
- Direct and manage the implementation of financial controls/procedures and provide information to support financial planning processes;
Job Requirements:
- Computer literacy.
- 10 years’ related experience of which at least 4 years experience at the senior management level;
- Have own transport and valid driver’s license;
- Knowledge of City of Johannesburg policies and prescripts;
- Knowledge of Laws and Act governing the Municipality.
- Management training;
- Ability to make complex decisions;
- Experience in other disciplines, but related to job content;
- Being pro-active;
- Extraordinary/flexible hours
- Degree/qualification in a related field at NQF level 7;
- Good command in English;
- Strategic thinker;
