ISASA Vacancy – ECD Head of Department

Job Description:

We are looking for a qualified pre-school teacher to be the Head of Department and oversee the Grade 000, Gr 00 and Grade R teachers and classes, to commence in January 2025.

Job Requirements:

• Be fully qualified and registered with SACE
• Be enthusiastic, assertive and flexible
• Help maintain a safe, clean, healthy and inviting environment
• Enforce and communicate policies and procedures with the staff
• Have sound knowledge of current pre-school needs and trends
• Possess strong leadership, management and organisational skills
• Have excellent English communication as well as inter-personal skills with parents, staff and pupils
• Be willing to work as part of a team
• Delegate to teachers and assistants
• Be computer literate and have excellent administrative skills
• Ensure that assessments are done during the year and check all report comments
• Be a Protestant based Christian and support and promote the school’s Christian ethos
• Be South African
• Be fully qualified with the appropriate teaching qualification (degree/diploma)
• Have at least 4 years pre-school teaching experience
• Will be required to teach a class in the preschool
• Be available and willing to support and partake in functions and activities when required
