Job Description:
- Coordinate and prioritise data modelling within business area
- To provide expertise, advise and support by executing data modelling standards, principles, frameworks, and tools for the Segment/Pillar/Domain/Functional area
- Designing and developing of logical and physical data models and databases to meet the needs of the organisation’s information systems and business requirements

- Ensure required training and awareness is provided to relevant stakeholders for Segment/Pillar/Domain/Functional area related to data modelling standards, principles, framework and tools
- Ensure the logical models for data entities across Segment/Pillar/Domain/Functional area are appropriately implemented and optimise logical and physical data models accordingly
- Execute and ensure implementation of data modelling standards, principles, frameworks and tools
- Apply a customer-centric approach to ensure customer satisfaction
- Ensure development and continuous value add improvement to operational processes
Job Requirements:
- Knowledge of logical data modelling, and use of industry data models (e.g., IBM, Teradata, etc.)
- Experience working in data warehousing environment with good understanding of data ingestion (ETL) and consumption
- 4 – 5 years’ experience in a data environment with hands-on relational, dimensional, and/or analytic experience using relational database management (RDBMS), dimensional, NoSQL data platform technologies, and extract, transform, load (ETL) and data ingestion protocols).
- Experience with data warehouse, data lake and enterprise big data platforms in multi-data-centre contexts required
- Knowledge of dimensional data modelling using Kimbal methodology
- Developing data models in a banking environment
- Relevant Honours Degree
- Experience in networking and team collaboration, communication and presentation skills
- Relevant Computer Science, Data Science, Technical Science or Information Systems Degree
- Understanding of the Inmon methodology
- Understanding and experience in implementing data management domains and technologies (e.g., data modelling, metadata management, data quality and profiling, information architecture, etc.)
- Experience using data modelling technologies such as Erwin
