Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure implementation of Batho Pele principles in the division.
  • Management of personnel performance contracting and performance management reviews.
  • Manage Administration, Food Service Management, Record Management, Facility Management, Security Management, Linen
  • Management, Cleaning Department and Information Technology.
  • Manage and supervise hospital administration and support services division.
  • Implement benchmarking to ensure improved outputs.
  • Implement, Manage and monitor compliance with Service Level Agreements.
  • Develop and implement skills development and training for staff in the division.
  • Compilation and monitoring of Operational Plan, Risk register, Audit Action for management reporting and analysis.
  • Develop and implement guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in the division.
  • Perform other related duties as delegated by the CEO.
  • Liaise with internal clients and external stakeholders.
  • Manage the budget and supervise human resource and ensure compliance with relevant prescripts and mandates of the department.
  • Ensure compliance with Ideal Hospital Framework. Represent the division in the hospital management meetings.

Job Requirements:

  • Hospital management skills and experience would be an added advantage.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, ability to analyse and interpret financial information.
  • Knowledge of the public service systems and procedures and other relevant legislations.
  • A valid driver’s licence.
  • Computer skills (MS Word and MS Excel).
  • Communication skills; Management skills; People skills; Conflict resolution skills;
  • Ability to interact at strategic level and implement turnaround strategies.

Qualification & Experience:

  • A National Diploma or Degree in Public Administration/Public Management/Business Administration (NQF 6 or 7) (360 Credits).
