Job Description:

We are looking for an innovative, passionate, and experienced Talent Specialist to join our Human Resources team at our Cape Union Mart Head Office, in Cape Town.
This role will manage the recruitment strategy across Head Office and Store Leadership (South) roles to ensure effective delivery to business stakeholders.
Our successful candidate will have the relevant experience, customer centricity and drive to work in our fast-paced retail environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing our digital recruitment presence
  • Provide input into the overall recruitment strategy to ensure that the talent needs of the company are met, in line with the long-term talent strategy
  • Develop job descriptions, selection criteria and interview questions that reflect the requirements for each position, and establish a talent resource library
  • Responsible for partnering with the Information team to ensure recruitment reports and metrics are delivered to stakeholders
  • Devise and implement sourcing strategies to build pipelines of potential applicants
  • Guide and mentor Talent Administrator to build competencies that will grow and develop the individual
  • Build and maintain relationships with our key external recruitment partners
  • Develop and implement our end-to-end candidate recruitment process
  • Partner with HRBP’s to identify recruitment needs and expectations in different areas and produce forecasts
  • Develop and drive talent and recruitment strategies, plans and processes

Job Requirements:

  • An effective team player
  • Stakeholder and candidate management
  • Knowledge of local recruiting / talent landscape
  • A valid driver’s license
  • A relevant tertiary degree or diploma is required
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Experience in administering psychometric testing tools is desirable
  • Experience within a Retail environment is preferred
  • Leadership experience is ideal
  • Minimum of 3 – 5 years proven experience within the recruitment field is essential
  • Vendor management experience is important
  • Proficiency working with Microsoft Office is important (Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
