Amazon Job Vacancies – Compliance Specialist, International

Job Description:

Work hard, have fun, and make history working with Amazon’s International Legal team. We are looking for someone who can navigate complex product regulations across multiple countries, and then develop and implement related compliance actions. This position requires partnering with legal and business teams on proposed actions, and coordinating across multiple teams using technology to implement processes and policies to effectuate those actions. There is a significant project management component to this role.

Job Responsibilities:

• Partnering with regulators and responding to their inquiries
• Flexible work schedule to accommodate international time zones.
• Engaging with partners and helping them improve compliance

Job Requirements:

• Ability to work autonomously and effectively identify and innovate optimal solutions to a broad range of complex issues
• Great organizational and research skills with exceptional follow-through and attention to detail
• Ability to review sensitive content and make appropriate policy recommendations

Qualification & Experience:

• Undergraduate university law degree
• Experience conducting legal research and preparing related written guidance
• Either 5+ years of prior work experience in a related area OR 2+ years of prior work experience and an L.L.B. or another equivalent international law degree
